Room Description

The Hale Room features a glorious 19th century full-sized sleigh bed, a twin-sized sleigh bed, and an antique wrought iron stove. The room was named after H. Patterson Hale, a former 50-year tenant of the house, and ancestor of Nathan Hale, the American patriot. Pictures from Mr. H. Hale’s wedding in the 1930s and subsequent pictures during his later years adorn the walls. Mr. H. Hale’s uncle, The Reverand Hale of Boston, was the author of the fictional tale of Philip Nolan, The Man Without a Country
