The Marquand room is one of our two rooms with a private entrance. Located on the second floor, the room features its own deck overlooking the beautiful gardens and gazebo. This room has a queen-sized bed and fainting couch. The room is named after the Pulitzer-prize winning writer, J.P. Marquand, famous for his series of fictional books of the 1930 and 1940s. Perhaps this Newburyporter’s most famous character was Mr. Moto, competitor in the 1930s to Charlie Chan.
